Everything you need to know about Spring/Summer 2019 International Fashion Month
Highlights from Milan, Paris and London Fashion Week
Fashion month happens twice a year in the major fashion capitals of the world, and let’s be real… it’s our favourite time of year for sure! We love to see all the latest looks soon to trend and be inspired by the talent and beautiful creations of the world’s best designers.
It’s incredible that the fashion week events, specifically New York Fashion Week, began back in 1943 with fashion publicist, Eleanor Lambert. Originally only open to buyers, it has expanded today into a glamorous event everyone wants to attend!
We loved New York Fashion Week kicking off earlier this month with amazing street style looks, and more recently enjoyed the gorgeous fashion shows featured in Europe- beginning in London with edgy chic, followed by sophistication in Milan and finishing with always glamorous Paris.
Below are some of our favourite highlights from the European fashion week events, including street style snaps, runway looks, and front row celebrity and influencer outfits!
Highlights from London Fashion Week
London Street Style
The one print everyone was wearing at London Fashion Week- checks! Pair tailored check print trousers with a white top, or compliment a statement shirt with a beautiful white skirt.
Fashion week guests also utilised the beauty of layering luxuriously textured fabric garments. High-quality linen is a great textile to use when trying to replicate this on-trend look. You can read all about how to style our luxurious white linen pieces here.
London Fashion Week Runway Highlights
One of our favourite looks from the London runways was the natural hair and makeup from Alexa Chung's show. Models went fresh-faced down the catwalk, with next-to-no makeup allowing the clothing to take centre stage. Pops of colour came from a soft eye or bold lip, similar to how we like accessorising our own linen fashion! Cheers to embracing our own natural beauty.

We also love the designers who are featuring fashion for women for a range of occasions- looks that can take you from the office to the beach, then a party. Burberry was one of the brands showing that women can do anything and giving them the clothes to do it.
Also at the runway shows in London were some amazing front row looks. Plenty of bold patterned blouses, coats and blazers were seen, along with an assortment of minimalistic pieces that exemplified the low-key charm of British style.
Two of our favourite looks from the front row were Candice Lake and Alice Naylor-Leyland at the Delpozo ready-to-wear spring/summer 2019 show.
Highlights from Milan Fashion Week
Milan Street Style
We loved the abundance of easy to wear summer dresses present on the streets of Milan during their fashion week, along with fun prints and fabrics perfect for days in the sun.
Milan Fashion Week Runway Highlights
The romantic styling of hair really caught our eye from the runways in Milan. Fendi did this by embracing and styling "baby hair" in a very chic way to frame the models' faces, and pulling the rest of the hair into a tight top-knot. Such a beautiful and universally flattering look- we can't wait to try this out with one of our beautiful summer white linen dresses.
Front Row Looks from Milan Fashion Week
To conclude our favourite moments from Milan Fashion Week, we also loved Nataly Osmann outfit at the Max Mara ready-to-wear spring/summer 2019 show.
Highlights from Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week Street Style
The biggest highlight of the street style at Paris Fashion Week were all the amazing accessories! Neutral tones created the look for beautifully tailored garments, and then to top it off, a fabulous pair of shades and a small clutch or cross body bag to complete the look. Oh so chic!
Highlights from the Runway at Paris Fashion Week
As always, the runways at Paris Fashion Week never disappoint. Some of our top picks were Jacquemus for their impeccable summery beachwear looks (we can just feel the sand looking at this ready-to-wear collection), Gucci and Dior for their divine intricate details.
Front Row Looks From Paris Fashion Week
...and finally, our favourite highlight from Paris, front row at the Dior runway- Blake Lively.

We hope you enjoyed these highlights and top picks from couture collections throughout International Fashion Month. We absolutely love the abundance of innovative fashion that was on display.
